Where did it all start?
the local Oracle was set up in 2004 by Anna and Jane Marshall - cousins living in West Malling and Kings Hill respectively.
Kings Hill was a new development growing by the week but with very little information available to the new residents of the area. Anna and Jane decided that something was required and decided to set up the local Oracle, initially for Kings Hill only. Within a year distribution had increased and the publication had doubled. Now, in 2010 there are three editions each with a minimum distribution of 10,000 copies on a monthly basis.
Anna and Jane both try to link with other local businesses and services. Anna is a regular member of the West Malling chapter of BNI and Kings Hill Rotary Club whilst Jane regularly attends local women's networking groups. At these meetings, they not only promote their own business but also the businesses advertising in the local Oracle.
